Do I Qualify?
To qualify for work in Canada as a live-in Caregiver, you must satisfy the following
criteria:

You must have completed a high school education that is equivalent to a grade 12
education in Canada.
|
|
> |
Within the last 3 years, you must have completed 6 months of full-time training
in a field related to the job you want in Canada; or, you must have completed 12
months of full-time paid employment (please note this must include at least 6 months
of continuous employment) in a field related to the work you want to do in Canada.
This training or employment could be in a field such as childcare, early childhood
education, special education, first aid, any health profession, etc.

The type of caregiving work you want to do in Canada must be in the same field in
which you have completed the above training or work experience.

You must be able to speak, read and understand English.

If you meet the above criteria, we welcome you to create a profile to add to our
online database of Caregivers. Employers in Canada will be able to search this database
and read your profile. You can add photographs to your profile, and you can visit
the Caregivers.ca office nearest you to make a video interview to add to your profile.
Your profile and your video interview will help Employers get to know you better.
