Government Fees and Legal Fees
Please note that there are government fees you must pay for coming to Canada to work as a live-in Caregiver. These government fees are non-refundable, and are not included in the legal fees you pay to Caregivers.ca or to Caregivers.ca for their services.

You will have to pay the following government fees.

• Fee for processing your application (currently this fee is $150.00 CDN, however this fee varies from time to time. Caregivers.ca will advise you the most current fee);
  

• Fee for the medical exam (approximately $125.00 CDN);
  

• Fee (if applicable) for obtaining a Canadian visitor’s visa ($75.00 CDN for a single entry visa, or $150.00 CDN for a multiple entry visa). Whether or not you are required to have a visitor’s visa depends on what country you are from. Caregivers.ca will advise you whether you are required to have one.
